Lived in chicago then--going to the UC. In april the south side of town burned because of MLK. I can still remember bobbys speech that day in indiana. I had worked for gene and was headed to indiana the next day to work for bobby. I was a switch hitter back then. Anyway my roommate woke me up the morning after the cal primary. That still brings tears to my eyes. Can one imagine a world without LBJ and Nixxon? And Bobby would have sent Nixxon to china to meet Mao.
