John, I suspect the secret lies in “saving” the manually entered address before using it for navigation purposes. I did the following and had no problem with the recalculating function: Enter the desired address and then press “Save” in the lower right corner of the screen (Don’t press “GO” as yet) You can then give the address a name and it will appear in “Favorites” … and/or Rather than going to “Favorites”, select “Recent Selections” … it should appear in both places for some period of time. BTW, “Favorites” are listed by distance away (ascending) while “Recent Selections” are listed in time order; most recent first. pete
