keep the tariff off our highways... what does that mean..? i see no reason to keep mexican equipment off our highways if they have dot inspections and united states drivers licenses and stay within driving time allowed by dot and keep good logs. why should we continue to break down these shipments and turn them over to american drivers vs letting the deliveries go directly to their destinations. seems much less expensive. In return i understand american shipments into mexico are going to be allowed to drive further into Mexico and make deliveries. This appears to be more of teamster fight than a consumer fight.
