Of note, today is the 10th anniv. of my first post here on SI, and this is number 18,060

What is interesting is how many people I knew here and other independent traders who were wiped out in the dot com bubble.
The key is money management and to not get caught without downside insurance if/when the music stops.

I have survived trading for for 11 1/2 years by using prudent money management and paying attention to variations of VaR, (value at risk) and placing big bets when the odds were in my favor.
