NEW YORK, Oct 1 (Reuter) - Salomon Brothers said on
Wednesday analyst John Jones Jr. downgraded his rating on
shares of Tektronix Inc to a buy from a strong buy based on
valuation.
-- Shares were up 73 percent since Jones raised his rating
on the stock in June, he said.
-- Jones said he was positive on long-term fundamentals but
the stock did not warrant a strong buy at this level.
-- Shares fell 10/16 to 66-13/16.
