It's a thot. I figure with the new sinking stages about, that an auto sinkhole, uphole machine is not far away. 32 drill heads and hydraulic breakers. I have to finger on a way to swing the drill heads out of the way and swing the breaker heads in. And then the vacuum units. Perhaps a tool selector mechanism. I think they are wasting effort in applying 100,000 lbs /sq inch force to massive grinding units( the tunnel borers and continuous miners). If they concentrate the shear force after opening faces and exposing beam-force concentrating leverage, it will take maximal advantage of the weakness of rock in tension. As it is the tunnel borers are fighting compressive strength, where rock is strongest. I observed Italian quarrymen who by using closely spaced holes, hand wedges, 'cracking' charges and diamond wire saws, extractedg 75 ton blocks by minimal applied effort. I figure this process could be applied with some changes to short advance breaking by max drilling and using the same principles of crack propagation.
