Henry,
Got me. I wasn't watching AGN, so I can't help.
I found the institutional owner data I mentioned in my last post. The data is from last quarter (June) but, as I'm sure you know, its always published a quarter late. Here a run down, in decreasing order of ownership. 2-5%: holders (Fidelity, State of Wisconsin [Teacher's pension, I think] and Wellington Management). 1-2%: (T Rowe Price, Deerfield, Franklin Resources, Barclays Bank, Bear, Bankers Trust, Columbia Mgmt, Dean Witter, Hughes Investment). 0.5-1% Warburg, State Street Research and Stein Roe. I think there are a few below Stein Rowe that are above 0.5%, but that's where my list stops. Interesting feature is that every one of them was a buyer during the period, with Franklin making the biggest purchases (Over 500,000). Many of the others made net purchases between 100,000 and 375,000. The only seller was Warburg but they dumped nearly 3/4 of a large poisition. So it looks to me like Warburg opened the flood gates and drove the price down and all the others stepped up and bought. They look exceptionally smart right now, at least for institutions! (:>) Ted |
