Editorial: It would seem several people are quite upset at the arrival on this thread of a naysayer. Why? The purpose of (and beauty of) SI is that communications of a pro and con nature can be expressed and we can all learn the bad along with the good. I don't want to be part of a rah-rah club - I want hard, factual information that sometimes may dissuade me from investing/trading in a company's stock. I want to hear it all.

That being said, our current naysayer has had nothing to say of a factual nature that should affect anyone's decisions regarding this company. Should he get beyond the bleating stage, I'm happy to hear what he has to say and will perform my own diligence on any negative information that is presented. Personally, I have been saved many times by naysayers being brave enough to wade into a thread with unpopular views. To date, there have been several requests made of him to present his information. It has not been forthcoming. Until it is, I dismiss his words but wouldn't think of trying to banish him for reasons of free speech issues.

I've hade three email messages asking if I think he is a "shorter" and can we do anything about his seeming slander of this company. First, I don't think for a minute that this guy is short this stock. I realize that is a popular name to call folks on SI that are against a company we believe in but it is almost never the case. Second, there is absolutely nothing we can do about his words. He is totally free to express his opinion as often and as loudly as he wishes. The company can do something about slanderous words, however. But there is a burden of proof which is not easily met to show that he has a fiscal interest in driving the price of the stock down by using untrue and slanderous words.

In short, let him rant and rave. When the words become specific, question them and then decide whether you need to take action with regard to your investment. Right or wrong, this is my opinion.
