which won't stop me -g- from retorting : Come on with this Buffett. He owns few stocks -you got me there - and he makes some pithy comments with which you hit me. But we know he knows the managements of his companies really very well - better I think than you know the managements of your companies. And he buys and holds and holds .... something some of you apparently do not do.
...This is what I am interested in: How do people learn to invest successfully? Or do they ever? For me, I've come to believe that to succeed in the market is do what successful people do, and don't do what successful people don't do. (And by successful people I do not mean investment geniuses or flukes) There are people who can show us the way. O'Shaugnessy, Tanous, Lynch others have got books out. Graham's name is on this thread. Diversify.
