"It all depends?" lol Let's try again. Using your numbers again, the old Prius got 55 mpg. The old average car got 25 mpg. The Prius got 120% better gas mileage than the average car. New Prius gets 46 mpg. The new average car gets 22 mpg. The new Prius only gets 109% better gas mileage than the new average car. The reporter is trying to sell the idea that 109% is more than 120%. When you find something wrong with your figures, let us know.
