Well, these markets are managed through futures. So, they
disconnected them at 1 p.m. (froze the program trading) to
manage this decline better. At 2 p.m., the program trading
was unfrozen, and the futures and cash were re-connected.
Not that they did not try with their 12,000 e-minis per minute
market buy orders hitting the tape all morning. Not to mention
a large coupon pass this week - the first one since December,
20, 2006. Then they reconnected them at 2 p.m., and
the selloff in cash pulled down the futures through arbitrage.
Computer glitch it was. I expect a large rally today, and
another large coupon pass. -g-/-ng- You can buy calls (short-
term only), but the time was Yesterday at the close. We could
drop again soon, as real selling that's going on in REAL world
could cause more of these computer glitches -g-
