We have over 700 bases worldwide, some for over 50 years so to " stick it out anywhere for more than a year " doesn't seem to be a problem for us and we spend more on our military than the rest of the world combined and it does not seem to have stopped this current enemy from taking us on.

So what are the " obvious implications" of us wisely getting out of Iraq (which we so very unwisely got into) besides that many Americans would stop dieing and getting badly wounded?
