This argument Mel is making today, that less competition somehow benefits the consumer, is just absurd.

If he were making the argument that the companies wouldn't survive without the merger, you could sort of see it. But he claims nothing could be further from the truth. So, how does a monopoly benefit consumer?

Does ANYONE on the committee honestly believe this BS?
