Sorry JDN....In addition to requests for direct talks, the concept of having Iraq serve as host of multi-nation talks involving all Middle East parties was suggested three or more years ago! The Administration flatly rejected it, saying that if they were at the same table with Iran, regardless of format, it would validate - even strengthen - Iran's claims to have a right to a nuclear program... No difference now. The Administration finally realized here, as in Korea, that talking is not conceding.
