Actually Bill, you are in the distinct minority. What planet do you live on anyway? Reagan is admired by about 50% of the country not for any specific event, but mainly for his manly persona, some of which was just Ronny the movie star and half-decent human being, not his policies. Also remember a big part of his public persona was acting and posing. He was an actor after all. Actually Reagan's policies by themselves were quite UN-popular. Though he did break with the NRA and apologize rfor Iran-Contra, so he wasn't all noxious.
