Obviously Tesco performs no quality testing on cut-rate gasoline they buy from "Dodgy Dan". They just assume gasoline is gasoline . . . its not.

The other two common problems with gasoline, in addition to sulfur contamination, are:

1.) Storage tank contamination (water condensation and particulate contamination);

2.) deterioration of gasoline over time (especially accelerated by heat and oxygen) resulting in a gasoline clouded with gums which foul engines and ignite far less readily leading to engine sputtering and hesitation.
