If the problem was sulphur then all those vehicle's catalytic converters are useless now as well. If this occurs when fuel cells become common there will be some major lawsuits. Last night I was taking the article at face value but after reading your post I did some research. The authors of the article clearly didn't do any research as I could find NO reference anywhere that ethanol damages O2 sensors, although the O2 sensor does determine how the engine processes fuel with ethanol added. Of the few things that can damage the durable sensor, only one can be caused by one tank of fuel, and you nailed it. jobs.boschusa.com "Even a small amount of poorly refined gasoline can kill an oxygen sensor."
