This is somewhat old news, but I can't believe that the market has factored it in adequately given comparable price movements of ETEC and other semi stocks: 8/2/96 8:50 am... ETEC SYSTEMS (ETEC 24-1/4), CFO SEES TREMENDOUS GROWTH AHEAD... At Robertson Stephens semiconductor conference yesterday, ETEC CFO Philip Koen says whereas co.'s compound annual growth rate has been 20%, saw 60% growth in 1st 9 mos. FY 96... Strong sequential growth driven by increase in new product shipments... Manufacturing cycle time has declined from 52 weeks to 30 weeks; exects this to improve 20% over next nine months... Expects positive impact from price increases over next 9-12 months... Revenue mix improving as product side of revenues expanding... See gross margins at 49%-52% going forward. /K.Lipani
