Sweet Shirley says the same thing about me when we're with others. My response is the same. I grew up in a clean home. My brother and I had chores outside and inside. We cleaned our own bathroom, made our bed every day and vacuumed the bedroom. Ditto when I joined the Marine Corps. Then, my wife was a terrific housekeeper, and I just watched. Now, it's up to me... or live in squalor, which I choose not to do. I'll tell you this. I have total respect for housewives who keep a clean house. It's about the least fun thing I know of... and it's never done.
