Sad day here today. Yesterday, one of my neighbors took his life. He left behind a wife & 3 young children. As is often the case, it took everyone by surprise. He seemed like a regular guy who mostly kept to himself. He got along with everyone including his family. I can't think of a single incident of unusual behavior. He seemed to have a good relationship with his wife & kids. He often would be seen in his yard or the street playing with his kids. We knew his wife & the children much better than we knew him. She was more outgoing & quite personable. The kids were pretty much like their mom. What really tore me up was that it was the kids who came home from school to find their dad (mom was at work). I'm sure I don't need to tell you all what effect that's going to have on them for the rest of their lives. Sigh!
