The daily "list" refutes this, along with a myriad of imams from around the world, not to mention madrasas preaching hate and violence, need I go on?

Barabanki (UP), Mar. 1 : Maulana Kaukab Noorani, an Islamic scholar from Karachi, said here on Thursday that Islam and terrorism are poles apart.
Islam faith has never endorsed such ghastly acts in the name of religion, he added.
"Islam and terrorism are not connected at all. Islam is all about peace and harmony. There is no match between violence and Islam. If a Muslim person is involved in terrorist activities, then it is entirely his individual decision, and Islam has nothing to do with it," said Maulana Noorani, presently on a visit to India
Maulana Noorani was the chief guest at the annual function of the Madarsa Dar-ul Ulum.
The Maulana also described the horror of a suicide bomb attack at Nishtar Park in Karachi, on April 11, 2006 in which he was also wounded. The incident that took place on the birth anniversary of Prophet Mohammed claimed 57 lives and injured another 200 persons.
Following the recent blasts on the Samjhuta Express, both India and Pakistan have vowed to fight terrorism head-on. |
