I wonder if you think that it is not government interference when Senators Jay Rockefeller and Olympia Snowe send a letter to ExxonMobil CEO Rex Tillerson ordering the company to end its dangerous support of the global warming 'deniers' and that the company "should repudiate its climate change denial campaign".

The Governor of Oregon Ted Kulongoski wants to take that title of "state climatologist" from George Taylor, a position he has held since 1991. The governor said Taylor's contradictions interfere with the state's stated goals to reduce greenhouse gases, the "accepted cause of global warming in the eyes of a vast majority of scientists". Is that government interference?

Al Gore won an oscar for his "documentary". No doubt his cinematic skills are so great that politics had no role in that.

Looking at the UCS site and it seems that they have accepted that global warming is real, that it is man made, and that man can and should fix it, and they present it as dogma, not theory. There is no room for disagreement, it is a religious belief. Go to their link: Exxon Mobil ExxonMobil underwrites climate confusion. They complain that XOM "raised doubts about even the most indisputable scientific evidence". How concerned are those scientists? Are they the same sort of concerned scientists who had indisputable scientific evidence that the earth was the center of the universe when Galileo proposed otherwise?

If I may suggest an alternative site, the Oregon Institute of Science and Medicine (http://www.oism.org/) has a link to their Global Warming lecture. You can also go to oism.org to read some more on the subject, if it is not considered heresy to do so.
