The problem is that we are adding greenhouse gases such as CO2 and methane to the atmosphere at an accelerating rate. According to the theory, this will cause rising global temperatures. Within that context there is plenty of room for climate volatility due to natural forces. But over the long term, average global temperatures will rise and disrupt the normal natural cycles. Do you accept the idea that CO2 and methane act as greenhouse gases?

I accept the idea that we really don't know what the hell is going on with our weather. I think Michael Crichton has covered this better than I ever could. michaelcrichton.com We are going to to continue to use a lot of coal, both in the US and around the world, and any planning that doesn't accept that fact is fallacious. The USA is the "Saudi Arabia" of coal.

I have very good reasons not to accept the arguments being made today to use a "Commanding Heights" approach to solving a "Problem" we really don't understand. It's been a political approach from the start. With the constant use of overstatement and false "facts" to sell the idea that the Government should step in.
