Here's my union story. A few years ago the union wanted to unionize my wifes hospital employees. Many felt, whats the need, nurses are in such short supply they dont need a union to get the best pay available as there is such a competition among hospitals for their services. Well, the union told a bunch of lies and ultimately barely squeaked by and got in. Immediately they began charging what all the nurses felt were excessive DUES and provided little. All the nurses said, we dont want this union, union said, tough, we're here, we're staying. Well as a group the nurses refused to pay their dues, ultimately the union went away. No more talk of unions. haha. jdn
