Yes, my friend in Iowa says they are prepared...but the snow is so heavy and blowing that their entire county is closed....plows have been taken off the roads till the snow lessens...

Their power came back on yesterday, so they can see what else is going on around them, sorta. The crews can't get out because the roads are closed.

They have food, took all their freezer stuff outside in stryofoam containers, have kerosene, no fireplace, and lots of blankets....so they are OK.

And you're right about the tornadoes... They must be just plain awful. You can't escape them.... Some of the MSM is trying to make a big deal of the warning the school had about the tornadoes.... But I listened to their press conference yesterday.

If they had sent the kids out...would they have been able to get home? Or would they have been caught in the open? Even if they could get home, would they have been safer at school?

There is no telling which way a tornado will go....
