I've never apologized for anyone but myself. . . The word apologist simply means a defender of a position. No one else here has defended Muslims as much as you do, so, it seemed like an appropriate term to use of you for what you are doing. It was not meant as an insult in any way. Are you a Muslim?

If you want a simple statement that can be found at the heart of Islam it is "love for your brother, that which you would love for your self".

Well, I am not sure how exact you were in the selection of the word 'brother;' but, it seems to me, that 'brother' would apply to a fellow Muslim. So, that your definition means that a Muslim would do for his spiritual kin what he would do for himself. That could include fighting for him by any means to ensure his welfare. Did you mean it that narrowly?
