Poker Stars crashed today, when I was near the end of a sit and go tourney. I had been skunked in an $11 tourney (QQ still can't beat 6,8 when 5, 7, 9 hits the board <G>) then clunked in a $22 tourney. Two gooseeggs. I entered a $25 6 player tourney and won that in record time, about 32 minutes. The $89 win paid for my previous losses, plus a bit. I entered at $13 six man tourney as my last before my morning break. Another guy and I had bounced 4 of the players, and were playing heads up. We played for about 10 minutes, then Stars crashed and burned. I checked back for 15 minutes, then gave up.
I wondered how they would handle it once they got up and running. The pool was $72. I had slightly more chips, so I got $37 of the pool and the other guy got $35. And I got the first place marker, which doesn't mean much. The other guy was certainly not beaten. I was kind of hoping that I would get the first place prize, though the way they handled it was much fairer.
BTW, after lunch, I spent the afternoon on Full Tilt and didn't bother with any of those pesky warmup loser tournaments. I just entered 2 $22 6 mans and kicked butt in both. I have to remember to always skip the tourneys where I'm going to lose. <G> |
