I don't know. I've seen Detroit go up and down for years. Ford seemed to be on the ropes, then they came out with the Mustang.

It's so much more complicated for them now, with the competition from overseas. Japan is dreading Korea and they're both in mortal fear of China, who'll be able to put them into a "Detroit-like" position as far as labor costs go. With competiton like that, I doubt they worry about Detroit very often at all.
