What charting program....? Not a real easy one to answer. Some time ago I gave up on stocks, per se, and went to options on the OEX. The spreads were killing me and I gave up on that. Over a year ago I started trading futures on the Russell 2000 E-Mini index. Lots of bang for the buck.

So, to do this, I trade with Interactive Brokers (very low commissions) online. I use their data to feed Medved's Quote Tracker charting software (it's free, if you can put up with the ads, cheap to get rid of ads). This is my primary charting software and I monitor charts of 5 and 10 minute candles. I also watch the daily with it on a second computer.

While I don't trade stocks anymore, I do use the 2:1 leveraged ETFs from ProShares to trade long and short in my IRA. I use Metastock charting for these with data from Quotes Plus.

Sorry for the wordy response to your simple question. Thanks for the congrats... last week was BIG and all short.
