Did the Vikings leave behind a menu or something? According to my records, in 1397 the Vikings merged with the Danish, changed the name of their plundering from "danegold ransom money" to the inspired and politically correct name "17.5% VAT" and have been living off the fat of Europe ever since... never looked back. That's why they gave up on Greenland,... not worth the trouble -g-
