The Israel Chief of Staff was sacked, and a commission is examining the conduct of the war. Olmert will get sacked as soon as there is another election.

On the Hizbullah side, nope, no accountability. The war was handy for Iran, useful distraction from that IAEI business. So Iran has replaced Hizbullah's long range rockets, which were destroyed in the war. There's an UNFIL force in place to prevent it, but they are doing what UNFIL forces always do - seeing no evil.

Not every conflict needs a war. diplomacy and consultation are slower but deliver sustaining results.

Have you noticed Hizbullah's controlling ideology and who they take their orders from? Israel has been out of Lebanons since 2000, Hizbullah just moved the casus belli to Shebaa Farms, which even the UN says is in Syria.

Not every conflict needs a war, but some do.
