My brother-in-law who is a small time sub-prime mortgage broker is ready to throw in the towel but his hands are tied. The building he is in now is leased for $11K per month and he still has a year and half left on the lease. His staff has gone from 40ish a couple of years ago to around 5 people. He is hoping that Bernake is going to drop interest rates in a couple of months.
