Yeah right, that's why Halla spun off the low margin products that NSM acquired with Fairchild. During Halla's reign at LSI, profit margin's started going up, in fact just before he left, they had consistently better profit margins, for the previous 10-12 quarters.

This is the same strategy he is using at NSM, getting into high profit margin high volume business, like INTEL but not in the PC business.

In fact INTEL has hinted repeatedly, profit margins will start dropping.
Check out Chuckie's posting on Intel giving up the $2000 digital appliance built around the PC in favor of a TV-Set Top hybrid. Intel's strategy is to use the Pentium. It will have to sell it at a much lower price. You probably read the rest of the posting.
