Gore DID take the initiative in congress to create the internet. ALong with one other congressman. He never said he invented it. That's a silly rightwing lie.

Gore deserves enormous credit for championing what he then called "the information superhighway". Remember when he ran with Clinton the first time and was talking about that? The internet didn't even exist then. If not for Gore it might never have existed. In any case he made sure it got up and running, creating the single biggest new industry of our lives.
