Germany NEVER attacked us - they sunk freighters. Rightwingers didn't sympathize with the Nazi's! They wanted to invade with England. It was FDR who had run on a platform of not entering the war. Some believe he allowed Pearl Harbor to happen to give us the excuse to enter.
