Interestingly, there's a spot that you can stimulate in the brain that gives you those "transcendent" experiences- so most humans are clearly wired to "receive" mystic moments, but what they make of those mystic moments is where the trouble starts, imo. And especially troublesome are those folks who are sure their mystic moment has led them to the only "correct" way of interpreting the mystic moment experience.
