I hate to say this, cause its not what I wanted, but I am coming to think that if we are going to continue to fight in IRAQ rather then pull back to secure areas and provide border security that perhaps we ought to merely side FULLY with the SHIA and of course the KURDS and the hell with the Sunni's. Rather then fight the Shia death squads we employ them as mercenaries in the armed service (such as the Romans used to do) and wipe out the Sunni's once and for all. At least we would be using 80% of the population as allies, and as I understand it most of the IED's come from the SUNNI's. If we were to do this we would have to be ASSURED somehow that once it was over Iraq would be OUR ALLY and not a minion of IRAN. jdn
