What a horrible precedent...any prosecutor can indict a ham sandwich for perjury based on differing memories. Here we have a case of a prosecutor who knew ten minutes into his investigation that the crime he was supposed to investigate had never been committed (since Plame was not covert and Armitage, not the White House, had leaked her name) but decides to investigate for two years anyway. Obviously, he has to bring SOME charge at the end of that or admit he's wasted everyone's time and money.
