Mondrian is not dull. His work is a study in total composition and balance. I've only seen one of his original works, at The Denver Art Museum. I studied it for what seemed like forever and I go look at it again each time I visit the museum. Long ago, in a painting class I took, we spent a lot of time discussing his use of space. Interesting stuff.
