That's one of the things that really confuses me about the Y2K hysteria.

Look all around you and it is clear that computer technology changes at an ever quickening pace. I simply do not see any evidence that there is major concern about maintaining ancient legacy applicatrions and mainframes. The way the Y2K hypesters rant, you'd think that every software and hardware company in the world is in a tizzy over this non-issue.

Makes you wonder why anyone borhers introducing new products. After all, the Y2K bug will shut the world down on 1/1/2000.
