First thing I thought was Koan has been reading too much Butler......these are old tired arguments for silver that we have heard for the last 10 years....so far I don't see silver doing anything different from gold....even if it gets back to "classic" silver:gold ratios of the past, so what? that is where it should be?

>but is also an industrial metal and will easily double before gold.

No kidding....wonder if that is why everyone picks cheapo penny stocks in the stock picking contest....because it is easier to double? Think AGC will double before CKG? Will silver double before gold? Yea I think so.

>80% of silver is produced as a by product of other mining e.g. zinc, gold, etc. so it is very inelastic to price changes and on top of that there are very few good silver depositis in the world.

True most silver is a byproduct....but that does not make the price inelastic. Holds it down if anything...but last time I looked silver was a pretty good %age gainer.

>So the whole world will have to pile into just a few silver mining companies

I see jr silver companies springing up all over the place; IPT, GGC, SPM, SLV, FR, USA and that is just off the top of my head.

>There are zillions of gold mines

Mebbe so but when one hits a good intercept look at it run.....

>But most importantly, why wait for gold to move

Huh? Maybe I need a reality check? What has gold been doing since 1999?

>We have a huge industrial and financial paradigm shift taking place in the world.

yep. eventually there will be trouble me thinks but that is way in the future....or is it?

>And last if gold does make a huge move it only takes a few seconds for me to sell my nickel and zinc plays and buy gold plays.

Yea but when you are deep into investing in one sector it takes a special person to abandon ship on the drop and a dime and jump into another....99% will not do it.

>Why just sit and wait and miss all of the other opportunities

Well pretty happy with the golds I am holding....like CC's says one of the nice things about these markets is there is something for everyone.....

Good luck with your investments. I must be the only one here to not agree with you!....into the back of the bus for me!<g>
