It is disquieting to learn that the Democrats are pushing to ensure that Libby should not receive a Presidential pardon. I think their energies are best concentrated on the business of the nation.

I was expecting the Dems on plans like health care, cutting our losses in Iraq, revamping international diplomacy etc. etc.

If Bush pardons Libby, which I presume he will do during his last day in office, it is the people who will decide if he did the right thing or not. As far as I can tell, BUsh will have to choose between his legacy, which is not established yet and the pardoning of Libby.

However, I am happy with what the Democrats with regards to bringing to the fore the way our vets are treated at Walter Reed, misuse of authority and the firing of the judges etc. etc. But the Libby thing is something that they should not spend the time on.
