I see no dishonor in posting a malicious PM to the public thread, so that concerned parties are aware of your mischievous conduct, especially when there was no confidentiality agreement between the PMer and the PMee, implied or stated. If there was some embarrassment in getting caught on your part, it was earned. You would have been wise to let it quietly pass. IMO
