Good article. Thanks!

But mish, everytime we think this is the end of the road, they come up with something.

Who would have foreseen that Greenspan would create a housing bubble that would re-ignite the stock-market bubble? It has been tiring to see the market go higher and higher in 2003, 2004, 2005 and 2006, and at the same time to realize that the stock earnings gains are at best standing on shifting sands, and at worst are illusory and fraudulent.

People like Ravi Batra have pointed out the bad effects of taking on endless debt, but they have been "wrong" not because they didn't get it right, but because Greenspan and others found yet another band-aid to keep things going for a few more years. But as far as laypersons are concerned, Batra and others like him (e.g. you) were dead wrong and that's that!

So what will the charlatans at the Fed do this time? I don't know what it will be, but I know they will come up some ingenious scheme, and by the end of this year, the S&P 500 will be up yet another 5-10 percent from the start of the year. And the party will continue :-((
