There's a difference between scaring off crooks with a 175 pound dog, and "slaughtering" people that are trying to take my possessions.

Oh, and if "some fool" breaks into your house and is running off with your TV and you "sacrifice some fools life"...prepare for a long prison sentence...regardless of how poor you might have been at some time in the past. And if your 175lb dog kills a person in your backyard, you may be seeing prison time as well, if it's judged that the force applied was greater than what was required.
