FWIW

People who know me know that my remarks about over charging or being unethical were just remarks to add humor to my eventful day yesterday. I enjoy making people laugh even if it comes at my expense. If you can't tease yourself you can't have a sense of humor. I just finished up with my last appointment of the day. It was with a 75 year old client thats been under my guidance for 18 years. I don't know if people can relate to this but in my job the most gratifying thing that can come from a client relationship is to have it convert to a personal one. I care for this lady in almost the same way I do my own mother and I have many such relationships. What she was thinking of doing was not in her best interests at all. It would have yielded me a fine paycheck but in the end its just money. No amount of money can clear my conscience from a transaction that would soil my dignity. So we did nothing. It was the very first transaction I've not closed all year. The reason I don't miss a close very often is because I ALWAYS do the right thing for my clients and there's a logical thought process behind all my recommendations. So enjoy my off the wall remarks but know the bottom line is doing the right thing - always
