That's true unless telling the truth would reveal that what you and others did was illegal. You avoid prosecution for perjury and obstruction, but you open yourself and others up to prosecution for your actual crimes. The people on the right are way ahead of people in the middle. They know what is at stake and they are swiftly moving to action. The Wall Street Journal, the National Review, The Weekly Standard, the New York Post, talk radio, and commentators on Fox cable news have all coordinated their response. They are calling for an immediate pardon to end any possibilities of finding out the actual crimes behind the obstruction of justice and perjury conviction of Scooter Libby.
