The filtration of known pathogens is getting better all the time, but it will never be perfect.

What’s more relevant, however, is that filtration may not work for some of the pathogens we don’t even know about yet.

Further, although you might think blood centers would gladly pay to have the best filtration equipment available, this is far from true. Take a look at the trouble CERS is having getting centers in Europe to adopt their filtration system for platelets. Regards, Dew
