Mike - Re: " Intel's picture is fuzzy going into 1998 & 1999."

I think the root of the problem is that Intel's future is Fuzzy to you.

Why don't you investigate :

Intel's current product portfolio - 0.25 micron Tillamook CPUs in notebook computers + 100% of the NoteBook CPU market

Intel's upcoming new products (some already in limited production)

Intel's product plans for 1998 - Deschutes, Katmai

Intel's Product plans for 1999 - Merced, Willamette

Intel's manufacturing plant capacity - today

Intel's new wafer fab capacity coming on stream in 1998 and 1999

Intel's expanding customer base - Tandem, SGI, NetPower,Intergraph, Data General - all companies that have converted to, or will soon convert to, Intel Architecture machines.

Intel's DRAM development program with RAMBUS for enhanced MEMORY speeds

Intel's SERVER thrust - 4 way and 8 way (Clustered) technology

A little work on your part will help clear up the fuzziness.

Paul
