Paul,

You missed the point. Intel will not dominate the market in 1998
and 1999. The 80+% market share will not be as strong as in the
past when there was no strong competition. Unless you want to
admit a fabless Cyrix and a mindless AMD are strong competition.

I don't care what type of technology the chips has, price
will become increasing important. If the software does not
demand high performance chips, why pay the price?

If MS comes out with NT 5.0, and WIN98 and it requires high end
MPU to run then maybe Intel can retain it's market share. But
MS is hedging their bets, with CE and skinny NT for WebTV boxes
and commodity types appliances.

Anyways, these are my opinions. It may do you some good to
get your head out of them clouds so...you can see the ground.
